Between August 23rd and 29th, Rio de Janeiro hosted strategic agendas leading up to #COP30 , bringing together governments, companies, investors and civil society around concrete solutions for the ecological transition.

AYA was present at key moments that reinforced Brazil's leading role in building solutions for a low-carbon and inclusive economy:

  • Urban Transition and Sustainable Cities

Debate on the role of cities in the climate transition, exploring mobility, waste, governance and social inclusion, with the participation of Bruna Siciliano (Siciliano Group), Arthur Zago ( @ifoodbrasil ), Maria Emilia ( @deloittebrasil ) and Jorge Lima ( @viapol ).

  • Pre-Launch of the Ecological Transformation Plan

Carolina Grottera (Ministry of Economy) and Patricia Ellen (AYA) presented the axes of sustainable trade, green skills, and climate finance, paving the way for the official launch.

  • Business and Finance: The COP of Implementation

Meeting at the Museum of Tomorrow with leaders such as Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin (UN) and Jamie Fergusson ( @ifc_org ) and Patricia Ellen as moderator, discussing how to transform commitments into scalable and investable solutions, strengthening global climate action.

  • Climate Finance and Blended Finance

Roundtable with representatives from @bancobv , IDB Invest and Fundo Amazônia – @bndesgovbr , moderated by Isabel Ferreira ( @aya.instituto ), on mechanisms to mobilize capital at scale and accelerate the just transition.

  • Two years of the Ecological Transformation Plan

Official @min.fazenda event , with a review of progress, institutional milestones and the launch of the Public Monitoring Panel, reaffirming Brazil as a reference in the climate agenda.

These meetings demonstrated that the country is already paving the way for Belém: a Brazil that can inspire the world by proving that economic development and nature conservation go hand in hand, toward a more just and sustainable future.
